Benirras Beach - Ibiza

One of the most beautiful and highly frequented islands, the Ibiza Island, is home to many exotic beaches. Ibiza is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, 79 km from the coast of the Spanish city of Valencia. It is the third largest among the Balearic Islands. One of the most popular beaches in Ibiza is the Benirras Beach. With its meandering hills and valleys and pebbly sands, the Benirras Beach is a favourite among tourists. You can clamber on the rocks and witness the picturesque view across the water of beautiful rock formations.

The crystal clear water is ideal for bathing and swimming in the sea. The sea bed is rocky that makes it ideal for snorkeling but very difficult for walking. The sunset here at Benirras Beach is a delight to watch and people flock from all over just to witness this beautiful panorama. As soon as the sun is about to set, various hippy drummers gather around the beach and begin to bang their drums while the sun sets. There are three restaurants on this beach that offer cuisines from all over the world to satisfy the palates of international tourists. There is a little Chiringuito Bar that offers delicious local snacks and drinks like Wine, Beer or the exotic local drink called ‘Sangria’. The tourists can enjoy on the beach under the cool shade of the sun loungers and umbrellas. Tourists can also avail the parking facility available here.
Tourist Activities

• The tourists can undertake snorkeling. The equipment for snorkeling is available at the small shops located at the beach.


• Canoeing is a major attraction here. The tourists can hire their own boats and canoe on the clear blue waters while admiring the surrounding scenery.


• Paddle boats are also to be found here.


• There are little shops scattered around the beach that offer exclusive souvenirs and beach wear. These shops offer goods at the most reasonable rates and are the major attraction among the tourists at the beach.

Ideal Time To Visit
The summer period in Benirras Beach starts in the month of May. During this time, there are clear blue skies, the water is cool and pleasant and the various restaurants on the beach are open and offer fresh sea fish and international cuisines. The winter months are quite cold and not ideal for swimming or bathing. The restaurants are closed in the winter months.

Getting To Benirras Beach
You can first land at the Ibiza Airport by plane. From here, you can reach the beach only by car via a narrow road that runs between San Joan and San Miguel. There is a small dirt track running via Porto San Miguel that is also frequently used to reach the Benirras Beach.
