Talamanca Beach - Ibiza

The scenic 600 metres long Talamanca Beach is a beautiful beach situated near the town of Ibiza. This is a peaceful resort offering an array of different activities for holiday makers and adventure seekers. The beach is surrounded by rocky areas on both sides and is shallow sloping and sheltered, hence making it safe for both children and adults alike. At the far end of the beach, one can view the cliffs of Illa Plana and the entire skyline of Ibiza from the northern side. Along the entire bay runs a promenade that is lined with restaurants, bars, supermarkets and little shops. The restaurants here offer local as well international cuisines. There are little cafes lining the beach that offer a wide variety of coffee. The little shops and supermarkets are stocked with all the essentials and offer products that are reasonably priced.

You can take a leisurely walk around the beach here, serenaded by the beautiful songs playing in the background in various bars and restaurants. The bars offer exotic drinks from different parts of the world. The Talamanca Beach is worth visiting just for its delightful and lively nightlife. At night-time, the bars are packed with tourists and offer food and drinks at enviable rates.

The Talamanca Beach offers various other facilities like a promenade, showers, toilets, parasols, sunbeds, lockers, parking and also access for the disabled. These special facilities make it an ideal destination for holiday makers. There is a new beach walk-way that goes to the Aqualandia Water Park that offers various sports activities and water slides.
Ideal Time To Visit
The summer season on the Talamanca Beach starts in the month of May, when the sky is a clear blue and there is soft sunshine falling on the beach. It is soothing to swim or bathe in the cool waters of the sea while basking in the warmth of the sun. During the period between June and August, there is little rainfall that does not usually affect tourism. The climate at the Talamanca Beach is mild so the winters here are not very harsh. You can visit the beach in the winters, but do not take a dip in the water as it will be freezing cold.

Getting To Talamanca Beach
The Talamanca Beach is at a distance of 2.5 km from the city of Ibiza. The beach can be easily reached by car, bicycle and bus or even by foot. Taxi-shuttle boat to Ibiza Harbour is also available, an interesting way to get to the beach. It is very easy to reach Talamanca Beach as the directions are posted from downtown Ibiza to the actual beach, following the Ibiza Harbour towards the Botafac Maina.

Languages Spoken
The major languages spoken here are Spanish and Catalan. A dialect of Catalan, called Eivissenc or Ibicenco is also spoken by the residents. Due to the influence of tourism, other languages like German, Spanish and English are also spoken.
